SIRIKWA FOUNDATION
I have been blessed and am very proud of the success of my company, Sirikwa Travel but with this success and the subsequent wealth comes responsibility. God blesses some people with wealth and it is the duty of these people to redistribute this wealth to less fortunate people and contribute to humanity. I have great pride in being able to say through both Sirikwa Travel and the Sirikwa Foundation, we are achieving this. I believe in putting money back into my community first and foremost. Tanzania is where I make my money, it is my home and Tanzanians are my people and therefore my priority. I humbly invite all Kilimanjaro Climbers who plans to Climb Kilimanjaro for Charity to join my project so we call all support local community and impact others positively
Our project started with the clear idea that, if we were going to do this, it would have to create a positive impact among the local community. As such, we have decided to use 5% of our profits to help schools and community and to make sure that some kids who have no access to education, have the opportunity to have one.
One of the things you can do to help us with our community project is to bring with you some items from your home country like pencils or soccer balls. We are partners of ‘Pack for a Purpose’, an institution that promote small donations from tourists visiting undeveloped countries:
We’re also looking for people to stay with us and do some volunteer work in their spare time, helping the school or teaching students, etc. There is no time limit and you can stay for as long as you want or just for a day or two. We welcome any help, suggestions or ideas. You can teach, take care of kids and babies, play with them, help improving the school conditions, create awareness in the local communities about problematic issues like Malaria or HIV or any other thing you had in mind If you’d like to volunteer, just contact us through our contact page.
We are based in Moshi town. We have been teaching local students in this small community for almost two years. If you are ready to see some of the most beautiful places in the world and, at the same time, do something meaningful to the local community, don’t hesitate to contact us!
